How to Style: Hollywood to Housewife

Welcome to week three of Hollywood to Housewife, where I find a picture of a celebrity in an outfit I love (the "Hollywood"), and make it my own using pieces in my closet (the "Housewife"), and without making any new purchases.

So this week I was drawn to this pic of Cameron Diaz...

The skinnies are gorgeous, the tan jacket...everything. I love how muted the whole outfit looks. I know its spring and we should be celebrating with bright colors, but something about it I just love.

And can we just talk about the fact that looking at picture after picture after picture of skinny celebrities and then recreating their look on your not-so-skinny frame can start to give you a complex?!?!?! Maybe if I had 8 hours a day to work out along with a personal chef and 12 nannies I would be a stick figure too. For now though, I will take time well spent with my children and cooking my own dinner over being a twig  :)

Anyway, here is how I created the look. Swapped the blazer for a cardigan (I didn't have one, and the goal of this is to not buy anything) and used my blush jeans! Plus, it was another opportunity to wear these sandals...so comfy!

Cardigan: Target (old)
Jeans: Target
Shirt: Target
Shoes: Franco Sarto (similar)
Necklace: Stella and Dot

Hello white feet....how about a tan?

And because no "photo shoot" is complete without Ella wanting in on the action.

  6. You look amazing! I think the blush pink is perfect for spring, makes me think of soft, pretty pastels and budding flowers. This may be my favorite Hollywood to Housewife look so far. Recently found you blog and am really enjoying it!
