Hollywood to Housewife: Reese and Red Shoes

Welcome to this week's Hollywood to Housewife, where I find a picture of a celebrity in an outfit I love (the "Hollywood"), and make it my own using pieces in my closet (the "Housewife"), and without making any new purchases.

Thank goodness the heat has finally broken (although it was getting a little muggy when taking these pics!). I feel like I can at least comfortably wear jeans and not feel like I am sweating my butt off! That is exactly why spring is my favorite time of year!

I just can't get enough of Reese! I feel like I could just bundle her up and put her in my pocket she is so darn cute. I bought this navy striped moto jacket several months ago from Gap and have found that its the perfect lightweight addition to any outfit. When I saw Reese in a similar jacket I didn't have to think twice! And lets just ignore how wrinkled my shirt is...that's my life. Ironing to me is hanging my clothes in the bathroom while I take a shower- I can barely find time to sleep let alone iron!

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Gap /// Shirt: Old Navy /// Jeans: Old Navy /// Shoes: Charlotte Russe (super old. Like older than Ella old.) Photos: Tabitha at Lifesong Mama

Let me hope that there are those of you out there there iron just as little as I do...or your idea of ironing is the same as mine. Anyone? Anyone???

Have a good weekend, everyone!

  2. So cute!!! I love that jacket...stripes with a pop of red is so classic chic! You nailed it. I'm starting my own new series called Now & Then to show how pieces transition mostly because I am so sick of summer and just want crisp autumn air!!! :))
