My New Fave Beauties

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend! I figured there was no need for a weekend wrap up because we worked pretty much all weekend- super fun stuff.

I recently purchased some new beauty products that I am now pretty much obsessed with, and they were super cheap and they work well!

The first, e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Pen. I had one from Sephora for years....like years and years. Worked well and I loved it...just not the price. So when I was at Target  and saw this I knew it was meant to be!

It's perfect for the little mess ups, like mascara smudges, or too much eyeliner. The only thing I noticed was sometimes what is on the pen (like eyeliner) may sometimes transfer back to your skin when you the pen again. What I usually just do now is take some toilet paper and wipe the tip of the pen with it and it seemed to work fine. It's only $3, so what do you expect, right?

Moving on...

I am not one to clean my makeup brushes. I know, you can cringe. I do from time to time but not nearly as often as I should. When I saw the makeup remover pen, I also saw e.l.f. Studio Daily Brush Cleaner. For $3.00. Seriously? Jackpot!

This is awesome, because it doesn't take much time. It's a quick disinfectant for your brushes. Give a quick spray to your brushes, wipe clean with a towel or washcloth and you are good to go for the next time you use your brushes. I forgot how my brushes are supposed to feel when using them- I guess because I have waited so long to clean them (that makes me cringe a little). This spray doesn't replace actually cleaning the brushes though. It's recommended that you still use some sort of brush shampoo on a weekly basis to really get them clean and germ free. e.l.f. makes a good brush shampoo, also for only $3.00!!

Lastly, I have been on the lookout for a new daily eye shadow. I know I have SO many eye shadow colors, and yes I do use them, but most of the time, I have the same eye shadow that I wear on a daily basis. It mostly comes down to time- I just don't want to take the extra 5 mins or more to do anything special. I typically use Bare Minerals Queen Tiffany. I have been using that for years. Since it has been years, I thought it was just time for a little change (although I can't part with it completely..I still love it too much!). I found another Bare Minerals color that I absolutely love, called Drama
I know...they look just about the same, don't they? Hahaha. Apparently I like to live it up when buying my eyeshadow! Although you can't tell from the picture, Queen Tiffany has more of a brown tone, the Drama a more steel gray. I am pretty please with it! It is a little pricier at $14, but I will tell you it lasts a super long time. I  promise you, its totally worth it.

My last purchase is another e.l.f. product! Continuing my attempt to find a new daily shadow (which I think I will now have two to alternate!) I stumbled on e.l.f. Studio Baked Eyeshadow in Bark. Its a gorgeous, rich brown and goes on pretty smooth!

What was even better than the color itself, was knowing that I didn't have to look at the price. I saw it, loved it, tossed it in my cart. Easy as that! I love it when I know a purchase isn't going to break the bank! I got all three of these e.l.f. products for under $10. You seriously can't beat that!!

Any new recent beauty purchases lately for you that you are loving??

And before I leave you for the day, don't forget, tomorrow is our next What She Wears link up!! This month's theme is a white T! You can't get a more blank canvas than that!! I can't wait to see how everyone styles their t shirt! Join us tomorrow!

  1. I've never heard of a makeup remover pen! What a great idea... something I will definitely be checking out! Thanks for the great tip. And I'm the same way about my eyeshadow. I stick to the same tones (pinks to brighten up and greys for drama). Interesting how we find our colors and stay there :) Great ideas!

  2. Queen Phyllis and Cultured Pearl (both BM) are my daily go-to eye shadows :) That pen is a great alternative to my q-tip, love the idea!
