Holiday Style: Husband Edition

If I am being completely honest, I will say that my husband's style has gotten a lot better over the years. I like to think that I sort of had a hand in that! I think I am pretty good at persuading him to try out new things that he may otherwise not wear, or even think of wearing! No, he is not one of those guys that has me buy him just whatever, but typically, I do end up buying all most of his clothes, with his input!

I have said before how my family is pretty casual over the holidays- we don't break out our ball gowns and black ties for our get togethers, so my husband knew he wanted to be casual. The whole bow tie thing was his idea- out of the blue one day he asked what my thought was on bow ties- I personally love them-with that, he gave me free reign (yippy!) to put together a look for him! I made sure to choose things that I particularly liked on guys in general but knew he wasn't sure about! (turns out he loved it all!)

After several different purchases, some trying one at home, and some mixing and matching, we put together a really stylish, handsome, put-together-but-casual look that is totally holiday gathering appropriate. You could even swap out the jeans for a casual pair of khakis to dress it up a bit more for a casual work place!

I also think that bow ties aren't just for suits or tuxedos (as you can see below). It's so easy to to create a casual look with a bow-tie. Think of it as a really cute scarf or a fab pair of shoes for a girl!

  1. This look is so fun, I think your hubby enjoyed modeling! :) My son (9 yrs) is obsessed with bow ties and I am going to get him a red plaid one to wear for Christmas. We also tend to do dressed up casual for the holidays. Much more comfortable and relaxed that way! :)

  3. Aww...very cute hubby! Sadly, my husband doesn't care at all about fashion! Occasionally I'll buy him some nice things but other than that he dresses like a bum! haha
