Nutrisystem Check In

Well my first full week of Nutrisystem is in the books! I am happy to say that I have lost 5 pounds! Woo hoo! That's a start, right? 

Here is my breakdown of week one:

I did their Fast 5 for the first week. Basically the Fast 5 is a program for your first week to jump start and accelerate your weight loss. Everything comes in one box for you, and it is pre-selected food.  I am not going to lie- the first week was pretty hard you guys. The food was delicious. I was shocked at how good it was. For breakfast, I had several muffins throughout the week, and they were so good. I expected them to taste like cardboard, air, anything but a delicious blueberry or double chocolate chip muffin. Lunches and dinners were just as tasty. My problem I think was the portion sizes. I loved everything so much I wanted to eat three of the muffins, or another serving for the chicken alfredo (which is clearly why I am doing a diet program...hello portion control!). I know this first week was just an adjustment to actually eating the portions I am supposed to eat, and not what I want to eat (which is apparently a lot). 




Also, the first week, you can't snack as much (I will get more into that later). My problem was at night- I would be starving by the time I went to bed- I was hangry (hungry and angry). Again though, totally my body adjusting to eating what and how much I should be! 

One thing that did help were their Craving Crusher and Energizing shakes that I had in the morning and the afternoon. It helped curb the hunger a little bit! 

What also got me through the week was knowing I was losing weight/getting healthy, and the fact that after the first week I could add in a little more food! 

Bottom line- I am totally loving it. Hunger aside, I knew it was my body adjusting to the diet and eating the right portions. I really can't get over how good the food is, and I am glad at the progress I made so far! 

Next Tuesday, I will recap my second week, the week in which I can add more snacks and DESSERT! I will also share with you some quick exercises I have been slowly adding into my daily schedule. They are great for those of you that may not have an hour or two for a workout!

  1. Loving this;) I also have issues with portion sizes (I battle it ALL the time), and get hangry as well. Ha! So happy for you and your weight loss journey!
