Denim on Denim

I am not going to lie, up until a couple of months ago, I really wasn't a fan of the whole denim on denim trend. I just couldn't get on board with it. I can't even really tell you what it was about it that I didn't like. I just didn't like it.

Something changed, maybe my tastes? Maybe I just grew a pair and decided to give the trend a try. Or just call it lazy- in that I didn't feel like piecing together an outfit and saw my chambray laying on my closet floor (as are most of my clothes) next to my jeans and thought: DONE!

I was shocked at how much I grew to love the look as the day progressed. I just wish I would have worn my skinny jeans instead of my boyfriend jeans. I think the baggier, more casual top would have looked a little more put together with more fitting jeans, rather than a frumpy head to toe look. But that's just me!

Outfit Details:
Top: Target /// Jeans: Target /// Shoes: Coverse via Kohl's /// Clutch: Blair Ritchey /// Necklaces: Stella and Dot, Brin and Bell /// Bracelets: Stella and Dot

I love the casual vibe of the Chuck Taylor's but thought it would be a fun twist to add my newest Blair Ritchey! I love mixing casual with dressy to change up a look sometimes!

I am honestly glad that I tried this trend, because chances are I will be wearing it over and over again!! What are some trends that you initially didn't like, but ended up loving?!?!

  1. You are nailing the overall denim look....because there is a contrast in shade! And how cute you paired it with Chucks....happy to have found you off Shanna's link up!
