Here is a quick recap- quick because I am so tired and want to go to bed!
One awesome thing about York City is how many people support you, and on top of that, come to the ribbon cutting! From councilmen, to reps from the Mayor's office, to Downtown Inc employees (and of course my family), it was overwhelming! (in a good way, of course!)
As you can see, Ella was thrilled beyond measure that there were so many people there and even more thrilled that she was forced to be in some of the pictures. And can we talk about how handsome my husband is? Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he is so hard working and is just the most supportive.
With some of the most important people in my life. None of this would have been remotely possible if it weren't for my amazing parents (on the far left. Love them more than any words could ever describe), and my supportive in laws (on the right. They love me like I am their own!).
One of the best parts of the day was having my aunt and uncle, who are also my Godparents, surprise me! They drove over two hours to be there for the ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration! When I tell you I am the luckiest, I really am the luckiest!
Oh, I don't even know where to begin about these two ladies! Tabitha (who is also selling her amazing Violet and Burke items in the store) and Susan were there all night long, from start to finish. Although the amount of champagne they drank throughout the night is questionable, I really couldn't have made it through without them. From ringing customers, to mingling, they were a huge part of my support system, and I can't thank them enough!
Steve and Nikki (with Addie of course!) also came and I am so thankful for that! Charlotte is so lucky to have them as Godparents, and I am even luckier to have them as friends!!
I SO wish I would have gotten more pictures of the night, but it was just so crazy, and sort of all a blur! Friends, both old (what an awesome surprise, Bridget and Colleen!) and new stopped in to wish me well and shop, bring me flowers, cupcakes (darn you, Samantha!!) and just their support! I met so many awesome new people too- I love my customers already!! It was a great night! Saturday was even better with more visits from friends and quality time well spent at the store (thank you Chris, Jess, Miss Barb, Miss Gloria and Miss Debbie!)
I am hoping I didn't miss anyone- just know that everyone single phone call, text, facebook comment, message, email and store visit meant so much to me and made the weekend even more special!
All in all, the weekend was a dream come true. I know this post is so short, but I am still just so overwhelmed with the love from this weekend that I am still pretty speechless. I have just sort of been reflecting on everything! Aaahhhhh!!! What a GREAT weekend!!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!! Stop back tomorrow for What She Wears- show us how you style stripes!!!!
