What's so awesome about my girlfriends is that after 14 years of friendship we still have just as much fun with each other. Whether its one of our children's birthday parties or some sort of shower, we make it a blast. This past weekend was the bachelorette party for one of my girls! It was such a great time and its so amazing to see how we have evolved since the very first bachelorette party of the group (which was mine, in 2005). Before, it was wearing the highest of heels and drinking until we had to stumble home. Now, it's finding fashionable but sensible shoes, making sure we pump (as in using a breast pump) before we head out for the night, and ending the evening with ice on our knee! (poor Eryka...girl, rest that knee for your big day!!!)
It does feel good to let lose though for the evening! We all met in Baltimore, where the bride lives and boarded a pirate ship for a little booze cruise around the harbor then headed to a local bar!
See all those coolers? That would be our booze (I believe there may have been a couple of more not shown in the picture). We packed enough for a week long vacation not realizing the cruise was ONLY AN HOUR. I mean, we definitely put a pretty good dent in it, but needless to say, we did not need as much as we packed :)
Fashion before function was not my motto for the evening....let's say fashion AND function was the inspiration behind my look. The clutch was the perfect finishing touch and the perfect pop of color. I didn't need anything bigger or bulkier- I literally had my id, credit card, lipstick and some cash! (and thank you Jackie for taking my pictures...love you!)
