Lounge in Style at Home

I wanted to share with you all my latest post for Susquehanna Style! I know how easy it is to get in a fashion rut outside of the home, and how its even easier to get into a bigger rut when lounging at home! (I am point my finger at myself the most, here!) Time to get rid of those stained, holey yoga pants and make room for new, affordable, versatile and comfy pieces!

If you are anything like me, the first thing you do when you get home is take off all of your jewelry and change into comfortable clothes. I feel sorry for my husband, because there are some days where he gets home after I do. By the time he makes it through the door, I am already in my yoga pants (that I wear for lounging and sleeping, not yoga) and oversized t-shirt.
Over time, with any clothing, you get tired of wearing the same thing over and over. It gets old, worn-in (although sometimes those are the best clothes) and less flattering. And as much as we as a society say our looks shouldn’t matter as much as what is on the inside, I feel better about myself and get more accomplished when I am ‘put together.’ That applies to when I am home too! I find when I stay in my pajamas I am lazier; cleaning doesn’t get done, emails don’t get answered and makeup doesn’t get applied.
With these thoughts in mind, I went on a mission to round up some stylish and wallet-friendly loungewear.
I found a few loungewear staples that are great to wear at home and give you the comfortable, not sloppy, look: leggings, open cardigan/sweater, crew sweatshirts and graphic tees. What you will not see: matching velour tracksuits (I am guilty of owning those in the past- in several colors too)

Leggings:
All from Target: 1 /// 2 /// 3 ///4

Tops:

Graphic Tee's:
All from Old Navy: 1 /// 2 /// 3 /// 4

The great thing about a lot of these pieces is that they are all pretty neutral. Mixing and matching them is a breeze, which gives you more versatility and more wear. It’s fun to add a bold print or a bright piece to your loungewear, but neutrals are really the way to go. Plus, some of these items, particularly the graphic tee's and the cardigans, can be worn outside of lounging at home. For example, casual errand running, or a low key play date, or for a coffee or lunch date! You will definitely get your money’s worth. Happy lounging!

  1. I do the same thing! Half the time my husband leaves and I'm in the same thing when he gets home….except he missed the "got dressed up and looked cute" part. OOPS. Loving these loungewear choices!
