Snowy Plaid

Hope you all had a great weekend and Thanksgiving! It was great to see everyone's posts on all of the awesome deals and sales happening over the weekend, but I needed a breather for myself! I can't tell you how good it felt to step away for a few days and just breath, and enjoy time with my family! I also worked my rear off too.

As you know this past weekend was Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday, so I worked over 20 hours between Friday and Saturday. Needless to say I am beat! Those two days were amazing, and were beyond my expectations! Saturday was especially awesome- it was so great to see so many people excited to support small businesses!

Before the busy weekend though, I was able to head home for Thanksgiving. One thing that is awesome about my parents is that they are so involved with our girls. I don't think they really have a choice though, because any time my parents or my in laws are around, my husband and I become chopped liver! Because of that, my husband and I are able to sneak away any time they are around. We were able to head out for the afternoon for some lunch! We also had to buy Ella a winter coat while we were out-being the awesome parents we are, we totally forgot one for her!

I thought this Old Navy vest wasn't going to be the most practical, because it was definitely snowing a good bit. But let me tell you- it is so thick, and kept me super warm while we were out and about. I even paired it today with this sweater, jeans, and these shoes. Kept me nice and toasty!

  1. These pictures are so beautiful! My in laws are the same way with my kids, I end up getting a lot of date nights out of their visits;)
