Fitness Friday

Happy Friday! This week kind of dragged a little, but at the same time I could use an extra day in the week! I have a lot coming up that I am trying to get things done for! Aaaah!

Anyway, I am back with Fitness Friday. I didn't do one last week because well, I was doing anything and everything non fitness related! I will say my husband and I did a ton of walking while we were in California. Both while exploring where we were and as exercise, so I am hoping I didn't do too much damage!

Anyway, My first thing I want to share with you for this week's Fitness Friday is something that I use to keep my portions in check and also help transport lunch to work. I suggest getting a Bento Box. Before I had that, I would maybe take a couple of pieces of fruit to work and not eat all day, thinking that was so great. Then I would come home famished and snack mindlessly until dinner. Not good.



I got my bento box from Bentology on Amazon and love it. It keeps my portions in check, not to mention I don't have to take several different baggies with me to work. The big thing though is the portion control. It comes in different colors, and there are different brands, but I have found this one to work so well for me!

This brings me to my next thing- Fiber One brownies! They may not be for everyone because of amount of fiber-I know how Fiber One bars can affect some people (my husband and I call them fart bars..hahaha) The brownies are great though. I love to heat mine up in the microwave a little. It's a nice treat after dinner-enough to satisfy my sweet tooth and low in Weight Watcher points.

Last tip for the week, is to get a scale for the kitchen. I honestly don't know why it took me so long to get one! There are so many different foods I eat that have a serving size in ounces instead of "5 pieces" or something along those lines. Typically, I try to estimate how much it is. I finally bit the bullet and spend a whopping five dollars on a scale at Target. Really. That's all it was-five dollars. And it works so well! A scale though, is a necessity. It just really helps with portion control. You can get nicer, fancier ones, but I don't recommend it- just stick with this one and you will be just fine!

  1. I might have to try this lunchbox out! I have to pack lunches now and I don't like carrying around a bunch of different containers/baggies either!
