Our Holiday Cards with Minted + Giveaway!

I love this time of year for many reasons-the hustle and bustle, seeing family more frequently than usual, seeing Christmas through my girls' eyes (it's SO much more magical when you become a parent, isn't it?)

One of the things I truly, truly love is all of the holiday cards we get. Getting the mail is the most fun this time of year. Between online shopping packages and getting cards just about everyday, trips to the mailbox are full of anticipation!

My husband typically lets me take the reigns when it comes to planning our holiday cards (he is happy to let me!). From getting the pictures to addressing, I am a nerd and love the process!

I have used Minted several times before for cards and also prints for my girls' rooms. I love that Minted uses independent artists for their creations-I know everything I am picking is unique and created by someone who loves what they do!

I am a Mommy of two, a business owner, a wife, a blogger-needless to say I am busy! Minted makes it so easy to pick out your holiday cards. When working on my card I used their "Find it Fast" feature: you upload the photo you'd like to use and you can immediately see it in hundreds of designs (they even have a great New Year's selection for all you last minute folks). It makes the process of elimination so much easier and saves a lot of time. I ended up choosing this design, and I love how it turned out-I like how you are able to change the colors and even what the card says.

Another feature that I loved is their Address Assistant. I am not organized when it comes to addresses. My friends can attest to this-I text everyone year after year to double check their addresses because my address book is filled with crossed out addresses, ripped off addresses from envelopes, so I never know/remember what is the most current! You can either upload a spreadsheet with your addresses or enter them individually. I chose to enter individually-as tedious as it was, I knew I either had to do that or hand write all of them on the envelopes.

Along with the Address Assistant, Minted offers FREE recipient address printing (with qualifying purchase). The cards look so much nicer with the addresses printed on their in adorable font! You can also coordinate your envelope's with adorable matching lining, and even get personalized stamps!

While I was creating my holiday cards I decided to get some of my Christmas shopping done, too! Minted has a great selection of gifts for anyone from teachers, grandparents, housewarming/hostess and even for kids.

Ella is 8, but I feel like she has really started to become a "tween." Her tastes have been changing quite a bit lately. I've been noticing she is starting to show an interest in "older" things (certain tv shows, clothes, books, etc). She loves to write so I thought getting her some personalized stationary would be a total win for Mommy! I know something like this will make her feel so old and mature-something she has been striving for lately! I also added these adorable labels and this room sign to my list for her! I can't resist!

I also had my parents and my in-laws in mind when I was browsing. Both sets of grandparents love anything that is personalized when it comes to the girls. Who can blame them, right?! Minted's selection of personalized calendars is to die for-I love how you can personalize them with however many or little pictures you want, as well as special dates. I settled on this calendar-I loved it's simplicity! The hardest part was narrowing down all of the pictures I wanted to include!

I am thrilled to be partnering with Minted not only because I love all of my creations, but because they are awesome and are giving away TWO $125 gift cards! TWO! All you have to do is click here and fill out the form....easy! Good luck!!

Dressed Down Plaid

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend and holiday! I had a great, quick trip home with my family and a crazy busy Black Friday and Small Business Saturday at my store (you should check out my Cyber Monday sale!)

Any time I am home it is typically low key which I love. I always tend to dress pretty casual (I mean really is it different than any other day?!). Last time I wore this plaid I dressed it up a bit more (still wore with jeans, but up a notch). This time, wearing it with a super comfy pair of sneakers and beanie was the way to go!

Believe it or not, I haven't cashed in on any Black Friday deals yet-I am hoping to take advantage of some Cyber Monday deals, though!

Be on the lookout on my Facebook page throughout the day-that is where I will primarily be sharing some of my favorite Cyber Monday deals! You can also refer to my post from Friday-a lot of the sales are still going on....there are so many great deals!

Holiday Gift Guide: For Her

This week's holiday gift guide is typically my favorite of the bunch, mainly because I tend to get a lot of ideas for myself! I would buy everything in this guide for my cousin, friends, or even myself! There is a pretty wide range of prices-I tried to keep that in mind as I was curating it. Enjoy!

Rose Gold Nike's: I have seen these just about everywhere. Maybe it's because I am a blogger and I feel like every blogger has them (but me!), but I just seem to always be stumbling on them. I love the rose gold hue of them- I feel like although they are sneakers they could easily dress up any outfit.

Blair Ritchey Origami Envelope:  Do I really need to say much about this? I think the gorgeous shade of red speaks for itself. I have a few of Blair's original zip wallets-this is a great, modern alternative. Use as a wallet in your purse to store credit cards, your id, etc. or use alone as a clutch!

H&M Parka: I have had my eye on a heavy parka for a while now. I have decent warmer winter jackets, but not any like this-casual but still warm! And you can't beat the price, either!

Kate Spade Bow Beanie: How adorable is this hat? A great, neutral basic to get you through the bitter winter! I love how the bow makes a subtle statement!

Stella & Dot Pave Horn Ring:  I am a sucker for anything Stella & Dot. This ring is super affordable and would make a great gift for any gal in your life.

Kate Spade Activity Tracker:  As if activity trackers couldn't get any cuter! I personally have been on the hunt for an activity tracker that doesn't look like an activity tracker! Besides the adorable cat one I picked, there are several other cute options like this glitter one, or this polka dot one!

Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Blush Set: I have heard such great things about this blush although I have never treated myself because of the price! Have a friend, sister, wife like me? Now is the perfect time to gift it to them!

USB Tassel Keychain and Charging Cord: If you have a gal in your life who is always on the go and always on their phone, this is the perfect gift! It's such an adorable, portable charger so you can charge your device on the go!

it! Cosmetics Brush Set: I personally need to change my brushes more than I should. I typically buy here and there, so it would be nice to have a complete brush set!

Skinnydip Pyrite Headphones: I am in love with these! I use the boring earbuds that came with my phone-I have never had a decent pair of headphones-these are the perfect place to start!

Geo Pattern Blanket Scarf: What's another blanket scarf, right? One can never have too many. Plus, you can't go wrong with a scarf that can be worn multiple ways. With this price point, it would be a great gift for anyone from your special someone to a co-worker!

Metallic Faux Leather Crossbody:  This is such a statement bag-I love it's fun simplicity! This could be a fun going out bag!

Anthropologie Monogram Mug: What tastes better than coffee or tea in the morning? Coffee or tea in an adorable mug! At only $10 you could easily stock up on these for gifts for all the gals in your life!

Pinata Tassel Drops: I looove these earrings! They come in multiple colors so why not get them in every color? From wearing these daily with a plain button up blouse to a fab dress for a girls night out!

So what are your favorites?! I can't really resist any of them! Anything else in particular you are looking for? Let me know!

Staying Cozy with Cuddl Duds

Being that I have to dress up most of the time for work (and for the blog), it feels SO GOOD to just dress down and just be comfortable! I work on Saturdays as well, so when most people are geared up for the weekend I am still going. It's a love hate thing for me. I love that I get to do what I love, my passion. But I hate that I miss Saturdays with Ryan and the girls.

Since I do work on Saturdays sometimes it means squeezing in errands before I head into work. I honestly am not one of those Mom's that can do errands in heels or anything. Obviously looking remotely put together is important to me, but it doesn't mean heels! And honestly, knowing I have a full day ahead of me dressed up leaves me just wanting to be comfortable!

I absolutely love Cuddl Duds because they are easy, comfortable and warm pieces to toss on for those quick errands. I am in head to toe fleece which kept my so cozy and warm. I obviously styled mine together (because they do look really great together) but they are also perfect for layering. Any Mom's out there they spend their evenings and weekends on the sidelines of a soccer field, football field, or any other field would love these. They keep you super toasty (but not like hot toasty). What I like about them is they aren't bulky, so I feel like you could add layers for warmth without the bulk. Macy's has such a great selection-they are definitely my go-to for any and all Cuddl Duds!

I've already worn the leggings on their own with some of my oversized sweaters, and the hooded wrap looks adorable with jeans and sneakers (plus it has thumb holes....I don't know why but I love that feature!)

Instagram Outfit Roundup

Every once in a while I tend to do these little outfit roundups. It doesn't happen often because typically what I put on instagram is on my blog. Every so often though I have some outfits that never make it to the blog-it doesn't happen too often, though! (GASP! jk...jk...)

I really don't have much to say other than happy shopping! Hope you all have a great weekend and are gearing up for Thanksgiving!

Holiday Gift Guide: For Him

I can't even believe it's that time of year again! I know it's not even Thanksgiving, but whatev. People like to start their holiday shopping early, so I figured why not start my Holiday Gift Guide Series?

I figured I would start with the most difficult person to shop for-your "him." Whether he is your husband, boyfriend, brother, best friend, nephew, guys can be so difficult to shop for. It's so easy to just buy a couple of t shirts, some socks and a belt and call it a day, but how original is that?

I tried to find some gifts that would be practical but still somewhat cool in the "wow!" department. These items range in price so regardless if you need to save or if you want to splurge, you are sure to find something! (The images are clickable-enjoy!)

Native Union Kevlar Night Cable: this extra durable charging cord is 10 ft, so no need to worry about finding a convenient outlet. The knot anchors the cord to any flat surface when not attached a device!

Optishot 2 Golf Simulator: When I told my husband I was making this gift guide I asked him what he would want to see on it and this was it! I barely had the question out of my mouth and he spouted this off as fast as Ralphie in A Christmas Story when he shares what he wants for Christmas! Basically, if you have a husband like mine who loves to golf and will be devastated when the weather is too bad to golf this fall/winter season, get him this. It will feed the need for golf!

Soccer Cufflinks: Not just for soccer fans, how adorable are these? Not only are the actual cufflinks, but it is also a working game! They remind me of those little plastic handheld games that have the little silver ball you have to move through a maze! These would be a cute stocking stuffer!

Nintendo Classic Edition: Who else is excited that there is a classic edition being released? I remember the days of playing Duck Hunt and Mario with my brother (when he would let me!). Such a perfect gift to bring out the nostalgia!

Golf Swing Analyzer: If the guy in your life is anything like my husband, he is always analyzing his golf game. Sometimes he will even take me hole by hole to talk about how he swung, how he shouldn't have swung. I listen, but I will say it's a foreign language to me! This swing analyzer takes a look at things like speed and tempo!

Ray Ban Aviator Classic: You can't go wrong with a classic pair of sunglasses. This style is such a classic that you never have to worry about it going out of style.

Scratch Map: I feel like this would be a great gift for a lot of people in your life, not just your husband, friend, brother, etc. I love the idea of displaying all the places you've traveled. Just simply scratch where you've been!

Barrel Aged Cocktail Kit: With this really cool kit, you can age your small batch cocktails in a two week time period! This would also make a really great housewarming gift as well!

The North Face E-tip Gloves: These gloves are touch screen compatible and great quality- an easy stocking stuffer!

Bose Soundsport In-Ear Bluetooth Headphones: Gone are the days of having to fumble with a long cord! These ergonomically correct (for comfort) headphones are weather and sweat resistant. Perfect for traveling or working out!

Leatherman Multitool: Who doesn't need something that is 17 tools in one? In all honestly, this is something that everyone should own, whether it be kept in their pocket (like I could see some guys I know doing), or in your glove compartment in your car. It has everything from a screwdriver to a bottle opener to a wire stripper!

Bespoke Post Subscription Box: I love the idea of monthly subscription boxes. I think it's a great way to keep the gift going throughout the year. There are so many different types of monthly subscription boxes (for men, women, even kids), but most of them only focus on one particular thing-style, food, home, etc. What I loved about Bespoke Post is that the boxes come with a variety of items (no this isn't sponsored-I just thought it was cool!). These boxes come with anything from cigars, to a Himalayan salt rock for cooking, to sunglasses! You can set your preferences as to your interests, they send an email at the start with your box based on your preferences. You then have 5 days to choose another box if you like, otherwise they will send it to you! These make amazing gifts!

So there you have it! Hopefully you have found something that would make a perfect gift! Looking for something in particular? Let me know and I can help!

Check back next week for the next installment of my Holiday Gift Guide Series!!

Plaid + Camo

Hope you all had a great weekend! I had a busy one-work on Saturday, birthday parties and then the most perfect baby shower for one of my college girlfriends. It's so amazing to see how we have evolved over the past 16 (yikes!) years! Her son will be the 14th baby among our group of friends! We are so lucky to have each other!

This outfit is perfect for weekends! Errands to run? Wear this! A friend's daughter's birthday party to attend? Wear this! Your son's soccer game? Wear this!

While the jacket is lightweight it has a night weight to it-enough to keep you warm. You can always add a blanket scarf like I did for added warmth.

I've also been into wearing baseball hats lately-it's usually floppy hats that I am a huge fan of (still am, of course!), but lately it's been baseball hats. I feel like I've been in so much of a casual mode lately that baseball hats just fit. Plus, they come in so many more colors/prints/styles than they used to so you'd be sure to find one that suits you!
