I want to recap the awesome party I hosted this weekend, but the most important things first:
This weekend was pretty awesome. I went home for my grandmother’s (we call her Dede) 82nd birthday…isn’t she the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? She has had a rough year and a half. She was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2012 and it quickly spread throughout her body. There were definitely some scary moments, but she is here, she is doing well and we are so blessed to be able to celebrate with her. I just love her so much! Despite missing a few of our cousins that couldn’t come (and my husband and Ella) it was the perfect party. Gorgeous temp, great food and of course, family!
With her great-grandchildren (minus Ella). (obviously the adults aren’t…the young ones are just a tad too young to sit still themselves!)
Charlotte just having a blast. She had a ball!
Before celebrating with my family, I hosted an event at JEG Boutique with Marisa from A Lovely Living. We had the best time snacking, chatting, enjoying some moscato and of course, shopping! Here are a few pictures I captured throughout the whole night. I really had the best time ever!!
A local gal, Morgan from The Mini Baker dropped off some absolutely delicious cupcakes. She made two of these cute “high heel” cupcakes: one for me and one for Marisa! She also had mini mojito (my fave drink) and peach martini cupcakes. I am so mad I forgot to take a picture of them, but they were SO good!!
This is Cynthia from Dance It Off. She was a follower of my blog (and Marisa’s), and discovered she grew up in the same town where I went to college (Elizabethtown) and now lives in a neighboring town to where I grew up! It was so awesome to be able to meet her! I love how blogging has given me the opportunity to make new friends!!
Last but certainly not least, one of my dear friends Luci. She and I are cut from the same fantastic cloth. We both have a penchant for fashion, food, Jackie Collins and people watching. She is getting married in less than two weeks, and took time out of her schedule to stop by and hang out and I am so glad she did!!
It really was an awesome weekend filled with family (minus Ryan and Ella…I missed them!), friends, shopping and food! I didn’t want it to end!
Hope you all have a great day…see you back here tomorrow!
