This is my latest post for Susquehanna Style magazine! If you haven’t checked out their website yet, you should do so! Even if you don’t live in the Susquehanna Valley region, there are still some pretty awesome recipes, decor/DIY ideas, and helpful family tips!
Now onto my post!!
My husband will be the first to tell you that I can overdress for sporting events. No, I am not the girl that is at a pro football game wearing heels and carrying a clutch around! But, to him, I am overdressed. I can’t just toss on a jersey (mainly because I don’t own one) and head out the door. You can still look cute and stylish even when you are tailgating.
For me, some tailgating fashion basics are:
1. Puffer vest
2. Converse shoes/similar sneakers (flat booties would even work!)
3. Boyfriend jeans/jeggings/straight leg (cuffed)
4. Hat (fedora, baseball, beanie)
The beauty of these basics is that you can dress them up as much as you want, or do the opposite and dress them down as much as you like. They are all also great for both indoor and outdoor sporting events- from your tailgating in a parking lot before a big game, Saturday morning flag football games for your child, or the Sunday football party at a friend’s house!
Here are a few options of my favorite tailgating pieces that I mention above, and a couple of looks I created with them, that can be both for indoors and outdoors!
Go grab your stylish and comfy clothes! Happy tailgating!!
