In a Major Rut

I know everyone reaches this point when they are dieting. I just didn’t think I would hit this point this early on. I mean, I am only down 14 pounds with a ton more to go. In the past, I feel like I hit this around the 20 pound mark. Definitely not this soon! I think it is because I haven’t lost in the last two weeks. This week I really started to add in more exercise and just get myself moving a little more. I have been drinking a lot more water too. I don’t know I guess my body is just moving at it’s own pace!

As hard as it is to not get discouraged, I totally am. How can you not, right? I just keep thinking how good I feel when I am losing and all of the hard work I am doing is paying off. You really can’t beat that feeling right?

One thing that got me was Memorial Day weekend, like I told you guys last week. I know this is the season for picnic’s and BBQ’s and backyard get togethers, so I wanted to share with you all some things that you should gravitate towards, regardless of whether or not you are dieting or not!

(and that is not mustard salsa…apparently I forgot to hit enter after mustard! I wonder if mustard salsa exists….)

I know I can do it…I just need to keep plugging away! I think I also need to celebrate the smaller victories, like not not finishing Charlotte’s strawberry Pop Tart like I used to, or fitting into jeans that are a size smaller, ordering something healthy instead of the bacon cheeseburger that I really want!!
