Hope you all had a great, long holiday weekend! We spent a few days at the beach, which was nice! Ryan’s parents have a place so we were able to sneak away for a few days. Even though I am transitioning a new employee at my store, she is doing extremely well (and I am so thankful for that and her)-because of having a great staff I am able to still sneak away which is so nice! I will say though, when Ryan and I though “let’s go to the beach over the 4th!” we didn’t realize it was so close to when we were to come back from Mexico! Yikes! We normally aren’t this hardcore when it comes to getaways-haha! Although the last two weeks have been pretty awesome, we are so excited to have somewhat of a routine over the next few weeks-until Ryan heads to California for his annual golf trip, and then our now yearly long weekend trip with friends (Charleston this year!).
It’s funny because I would never peg myself as a routine driven person, but yet summer after summer I find myself craving some sort of routine and normalcy! I hate to rush summer, because I love the carefree feeling of it, but man I also love the school year, and the same day-day that we have!
Anyway, on to the dress….
Another day, another dress I’ve been eyeing for a while! Like this body con dress, I had seen this on several other bloggers, but was hesitant as to what it would look like on me (with a bump). Also, I like to be careful of what I buy on Amazon sometimes-it can be a hit or miss as to the fit of things!
Based on what I have read from fellow bloggers, as well as reviews, I opted for the XL. I am generally a size 14, and with a 23 week bump it fit me perfectly. I do think even when not pregnant I would still get the XL. With the style of this dress, I like it a little more flowy! While it is not a maternity dress I do love the way it fits over my bump!
Although this comes in multiple colors, I loved the navy for the holiday weekend! It would be adorable dressed up but I loved the idea of wearing it with my Converse. I also grabbed it in this pretty brown color, too. I think it would look great with these favorite gladiator sandals of mine and my go-to Panama hat!
