What to Wear When You Visit London in April

Now that Ryan and I have been home from our trip for a few weeks and fully back into our routines, I finally wanted to share in one, easy to reference place what I wore for our trip to London!

We did see a good amount of sunshine while we were there at the end of April, along with some clouds and a few raindrops (as expected). It was in the low 60’s pretty much the whole time, which to me was perfect! Lightweight layers, not too hot with a lightweight jacket but also comfortable enough to go without from time to time.

When I was outfit planning and packing I knew I wanted to have some jackets that were water proof or resistant, that way the could serve double duty to both keep me warm and dry.

Keep in mind this was my first time to London/surrounding areas so this is all based on a first timer’s perspective-I am certainly not at expert!

This trench coat was honestly one of, if not the best thing I packed for the whole trip, From the plane ride there to home and several times in between, it was the perfect finishing touch for a lot of my outfits. It’s such a classic, timeless piece that goes with so much.

I have these pants in not only this pretty olive but also a denim. They cut, the style and the material are really comfortable making it perfect to wear for an all day walk through London! They come in a ridiculous amount of colors, a few different denim washes, and even some fun prints. I can’t recommend them enough!

This denim jacket was also a great addition to my suitcase. I feel like no matter where you are traveling or what is on your agenda, a denim jacket can be a no brainer. This particular one is just the right amount of oversized, without making me feel frumpy.

This trench is another great alternative for layering. I love that it is wrinkle free and water resistant. Unlike my other trench, this one has a ton of stretch to it which adds to its comfort.

If a trench coat isn’t something that you would typically wear, this floral quilted jacket (comes in a bunch of different colors/prints) is a great option. Gives you a little bit of warmth when needed and also is just adorable! It packs easily and folds up pretty small, so it doesn’t take up a lot of room in your luggage.

These mesh ballet flats that I have shared a bunch are a love it or hate it kind of thing. Clearly I love them, and they were pretty well worn on our trip. While they don’t offer much support , they are really lightweight to wear and are relatively easy to walk in! I wore them for lots of exploring and they were great!

A classic button up is also something that is good to pack when you’re trying to keep just how much you pack to a minimum. Button ups can be really versatile and a good addition for a capsule-like wardrobe.

The trench coat again! I tossed it over this matching set-it kind of elevated it a bit and was perfect to wear for our long travel day!
