Spring Wardrobe Favorites as an Elder Millenial

Spring has sprung (depending on the day lol) which means I can finally dust off some of my favorites to wear this time of year (and even into the summer months).

To me, spring is all about layering-embracing the drastic temperature changes. It’s cold in the morning, super warm mid day then back to cold at night. Thoughtful layers help you navigate the ever changing temps while also keeping your outfit complete.

A classic trench is something to always have on hand. It’s a statement all on its own but also provides function (bonus if it’s water resistant). Sometimes I plan my outfit around my trench coat, other’s it’s a last minute addition to my outfit in an effort to stay warm, and maybe even dry!

A classic white tee is always a good idea no matter the time of year. I particularly love these. They’re men’s and come in a four pack which is perfect. I wear them alone and layer with them as well.

A chambray has been something that I have reached for so many times over the last several years (dare I say the last decade?). So many great ways to wear it and an item that never goes out of style.

Let’s talk shoes! These sandals are incredibly comfortably. The leather is really soft so there is no break in time, and they last! I have found that I reach for them the most during the warmer months. I love them so much I got them in a gorgeous deep green shade this year! I realize jelly shoes can be a little on the trendier side, but these quickly have become a staple for me. The clear shade gives them more of a neutral vibe!

I’ve realized over the years as my style has evolved that I prefer elastic waist pants (soft pants) over something with an actual button/zipper waist (hard pants). I found these on Amazon a couple of years ago and have slowly started to add them in more colors to my closet. They are great for days where you need to get dressed but don’t really want to.

I’ve worn them super casual with sweatshirts and sneakers but they look equally as great dressed up-perfect for those that work in a business casual environment.

Lastly, this cardigan is the absolute best. It is truly something that I wear year round-I have it in three colors! The oversized fit is perfect and it is so comfortable!
